Iranians are trying to look like us, while we are trying to be like them

Watching the news the other day I learned that the women in Iran are trying to regain their rightsfrom the President that will enable them to vote and get a job. These rights which are already found in Turkey. Where all of a sudden I thought of the Fundamental religious groups, who are trying to form an Islamic system. They are also defending the Iranian system which pushes women into the second class citizen position. This seemed to me a very reverse situation, when comparing the ideas. Iran is trying very hard to become like us and we or some of us are trying to become like them. They want to be us and we want to be want to be like the ones that want to be like us...Think about it, you want to be like that special person in your dreams while he is trying to be like you. Then you ask yourself , is there something wrong , who is after the wrong dream?

Secularizm is the Brake of  Religion

Mr. Erbakan (leader of the Islamic Fundamental Party) stated the other day that “ Secularizm is the brake of religion, and that it prevents development in religion” . I think Secularizm really acts like a brake in the religion as it prevents it from speeding or falling off a cliff or crashing into a wall. As like it is in many vehicles, brakes are a control mechanism that allows us to drive safely. To go on a road without brakes will surely make you have an accident. But if you don’t know how to drive and you keep on stepping on the brakes instead of the gas pedal , then the car would surely stop. Even God while creating man gave it a brake, and called  “consious”.

The frog at the bottom of the whell would think thatthe stars are as far as the top of the whell...
